🎸 Student of the Month: Zeke Greene 🎉

At SoundLife, we love celebrating students who go above and beyond—not just in their lessons, but in the way they engage with music as a craft, a discipline, and a lifelong passion. This month, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on Zeke Greene for his extraordinary dedication, craftsmanship, and curiosity.

Zeke is a guitarist in the band GRB and a longtime student of SoundLife. Over the past six months, Zeke has been hard at work on a project that goes far beyond chords and scales—he built his very own Telecaster-style guitar from the ground up.

Zeke:

Personally sourced and purchased every component of the guitar

Learned how to solder and wired all the electronics himself

Set the neck relief, bridge intonation, and performed a full setup

Hand-painted and finished the guitar body and neck

Meticulously wet-sanded and buffed the nitrocellulose clear coat for a flawless finish

Our Instructor Jason shares:

“Every challenge and complication was met with enthusiasm and perseverance. He never got discouraged. The result is a beautiful, great-playing instrument that he’ll have forever. I couldn’t be prouder of this kid.”

What makes Zeke truly stand out is his relentless determination, which has now grown to include confidence, poise, and a creative curiosity that will take him far—on stage and beyond. He’s an artist, a craftsman, and a musician who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty (literally!) in pursuit of excellence.
