We’re thrilled to welcome Thomas Grant to the SoundLife family! Thomas is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator with a passion for helping students explore music from the inside out. Whether it's piano, guitar, ukulele, or songwriting, Thomas brings heart, patience, and a deep well of experience to every lesson.
A Musician Who Leads with Heart
Thomas started playing piano as a kid in 1995 and quickly realized that music was more than just notes on a page—it was a way to process emotion and connect with the world around him. By age 16, he was writing songs and has now composed over 200 original pieces. He’s been teaching since 2011 and has worked with students of all ages, guiding them through classical pieces, pop favorites, and original compositions of their own.
What we love most about Thomas is how he encourages students to be both curious and confident. His lessons are grounded in solid technique—things like proper posture, fingering, sight-reading, and rhythm—but his true superpower is helping students discover their voice and connect emotionally to the music they’re playing.
More Than Just Lessons
Thomas has spent years performing in orchestras, bands, and theater productions. He doesn’t just teach—he lives music, and that experience comes through in the way he connects with students. Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time, writing your first song, or working toward a big performance, Thomas meets students where they are and helps them grow from there.
He's especially passionate about:
